No records have been found to date for the birth, marriage or death of Percy Clifton. In the early 1900’s most actors in Britain were itinerent workers, travelling the country with various shows. This is probably why Kennneth Clifton appears in the 1911 census as a boarder in South Norwood, London Borough of Croydon.
The Victoria and Albert museum has a photo of Percy Clifton playing the part of Hi Lung in A Chinese Honeymoon in 1904. While the name fits we are unable to verify if this is infact our forebear.
